Hyde is looking for a Senior Governance Officer (Housing Compliance & Assurance). This is a key housing governance and compliance role, supporting corporate clients, ensuring homes are safe, compliant, and well managed across a large, investment-backed housing portfolio. You will support strong governance frameworks, regulatory compliance, health and safety assurance, and oversight of managing agents delivering housing services on behalf of Hyde and its investment partners .This role is ideal for someone with experience in housing compliance, social housing regulation, governance, or managing agent oversight who has energy to undertake a role that they love and can deal with senior stakeholders in an engaging and confident manner.

Key responsibilities

  • Support governance and assurance reporting to the FPRP Board
  • Ensure compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing standards
  • Maintain governance and assurance frameworks across the portfolio
  • Monitor managing agent performance and service delivery
  • Oversee statutory health and safety compliance (fire, gas, electrical, water safety)
  • Manage regulatory reporting including Housing Ombudsman requirements
  • Ensure compliance with the Housing Ombudsman Complaint Handling Code
  • Analyse performance data to identify risks and drive improvements
  • Support audits, inspections, and regulatory engagement
  • Strengthen governance policies, procedures, and reporting frameworks

About you

You will bring experience in housing governance, compliance, or regulatory assurance, ideally within social housing, regulated landlord environments, or property management.

Essential experience:

  • Knowledge of social housing regulation and compliance frameworks
  • Understanding of housing health and safety requirements
  • Experience working with managing agents, contractors, or third-party providers
  • Strong governance, risk, or assurance experience
  • Ability to interpret data and identify risk
  • Confident stakeholder management at senior level
