Role Overview

This pivotal role offers a fantastic opportunity for a Test specialist to contribute directly to The Hyde Group’s ongoing success. You will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products, working closely with development teams to identify issues and improve functionality. Your expertise will help us maintain high standards and exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand project scope and deliverables.
• Identify, record, and track defects effectively using industry-standard tools.
• Perform manual and automated testing to ensure software quality and performance.
• Analyse test results and provide clear, actionable feedback to technical teams.
• Support continuous improvement by suggesting enhancements to testing processes and tools.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience in software testing within the IT industry, ideally in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools is advantageous.
• Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Familiarity with agile development processes and tools.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g. ISTQB) will be considered a plus.
